Our church/nonprofit recently undertook a comprehensive review of how our organization is administered and operates.  The product of this review was a reorganization plan designed to eliminate unnecessary layers of administration, empower key full-time employees to carry out the annual plan, but provide ongoing accountability of employees and volunteers to the Board of Directors.  However, we needed legal counsel to guide us through the process of determining: (a) to what extent our reorganization plan complied or conflicted with Wisconsin law; and (b) how any required changes to assure compliance could be best undertaken to preserve the benefits of our reorganization plan.  Paul did a number of things for our church leadership during this process: (a) he took abstract provisions of state law and broke them down into concrete principles that were easy for us to understand and apply; (b) he took seemingly complex problems associated with the reorganization and simplified them; (c) he helped us to narrow our focus to the real issues that needed to be addressed in reconciling state law with our reorganization goals; and (d) he helped us uncover, navigate and solve some associated challenges we were previously unaware of.  I would highly recommend Paul for your business entity and nonprofit entity legal needs.
